I think that's one of those great public myths, 2012 was only the end of a cycle in the Mayan calendar, not the end of the world or anything so dramatic. I suppose with the date approaching we had better get used to seeing tv shows, films, books around that theme though.

No they didn't. That is a mistranslation of the Mayan calander. I can't be bothered to find the source, but trust me, the Mayan calander does not end in 2012.

When I entered the thread, I thought it was going to pertain to the Large Hadron Collider. I presumed that you accidentally used a lower-case L. Anyway, this movie appears to be extraordinarily bad. It reminds me of The Day After Tomorrow.
