When VGC get the numbers, will they show a split betzeen Slims and Phats (kinda like in Media Create Jap figures that show DS Lite and DSi)? Curious to see what the Slim will sell cause by the looks of things, what Sony ships, it'll sell.

I don't agree that the Amazon sales charts mean very little, but agree that they don't mean everything.

You make a good point indicating that it's sellilng higher than Wii Sports Resort... which at leave gives an indication that it's doing well in comparison to something which sells well in general. 

If they ever ran out of PS3s I didn't notice, they seem to be well-stocked right now...

I just had a look at the amazon charts for the US, UK, France and German websites. Observations:

- Slim not always number one (sometimes Wii Motion + and WiiFit in front) but always ahead of the Wii
- 360 never found in the top 50
- some phat PS3s appear pretty in certain charts at the 299 price tag but behind the Wii 5in France you can get a 80gb with GT Prologue and GTA4 for 299 eur, excellent deal!!)
- DS oddly never well placed
- no sign of PSP

I'd conclude that you can't extrapolate too much from these charts.

while that is kind of true, you can get a better guage by looking at the other things in the top 10, it has wii beaten by a large margin, but it's anyone's guess how much amazon has of each.

I'm pretty sure it's sold out in gamestop as well..
