Forums - Microsoft - Rumor: Survey Gauges Interest In ( Pay-to-Play ) 1 vs.100

Having to pay would kill the game. No one would do it.

It seemed pretty obvious that they were going to try to go this route ever since that Season Pass download was accidentally put up on Live. I reckon they will, too, unless there's a serious backlash against the idea. 1 vs. 100 was fun and all, but fuck that noise.

Look at the huge backlash they have got about "Games On Demand" pricing, nothing has been done about that yet,

I got flamed for saying this wasn't/wouldn't be free a while back.

Anyway, if we have to pay... 1vs100 can get lol'd at.

It calls for huger backlash, I guess. I know, let's set Aaron Greenberg on fire!

I can glady say. ***Caution Lots of Curse Worlds***

FUCK THAT SHIT!

MS can suck a dick before i start paying for that piece of a shit game, its not even fun. The game will FLOP then, and when i say flop i mean less than 5,000. Why the hell are they even thinking of that.

1.You never get in.

2.Stupid Hard questions no one but google knows.

3.Your never the mob or the one.

4.Even if you do get it right there are 20 other people who are using google to get instant anwsers.

Was this even a MS sanctioned survey? Can anyone create a survey on that site?

Whether I'd pay depends on what the prizes are. I wouldn't pay for it in its current state, cos apart from the grand finale this weekend where you have a chance of winning a Fiat 500, the other prizes have been XBLA games and MS Points. If they had decent prizes every week and the games were live every night instead of just Friday and Saturday, then I might consider it. In fact I would definitely pay $15 for that.

The way I see it 1 vs 100 was going to be part of the new 360 experience that includes Natal and Avatars. Xbox Live is expensive enough as it is and it's going to hinder the succes of getting the Wii audience so charging for it is going to kill it. If Natal can into a couple of households then it will slowly gain attention by word of mouth promotion. Being able to play classic tv games like 1 vs 100 for free + full body controller might be enough to get the parrents to buy 360s. Honestly I don't think this is a bad move, if anyone can remember the early way they promoted the xbox then it was also a family experience. Microsoft won't ignore the hardcore gamer but getting a bigger market is good for the future of the brand.
