Forums - Sony - Heavy Rain Script Over 2,000 Pages

I wonder how long the Oblivion and Fallout 3 scripts are.

How many ways of saying "HEY! I'm watching you!" or "Keep your hands to yourself." are there?

I always am tempted to go to a strategy guide/faq for games with routes >.< I really get paranoid OCD of experiencing the best story in my first play through. The 2000 page script only shows how much replay value and stories there is... You could literally play this game over and over and you won't be able to uncover everything without cooperation and faqs/strategy guides.

O_o 2000 page script for an 8 hour game. This is going to have really good replay value by the sounds of things.

Is 8 hours for one play-through confirmed or u made that up lol?

"It's all over law-breaker! Your spree is at an end."

I love Oblivion, it must have had a real long script. It's the biggest game in history (excluding MMO's).

OT: 2,000 pages for a game script, I wonder if he pulled that as a new way of marketing Heavy Rain. It has to have some connection to reality though, so there's some hope that the game will have deep branching alternative outcomes - although I still doubt it will have.. multiple alternative story lines is just very hard to make because it takes so much dev time and resources, and we never seen anything like that in any game ever.

Now time for CGI to tell me I lack faith in Quantic Dreams and that I should give them the benefit of doubt until release.

I just want to see how this game plays out if and when my character dies.

I had my girlfriend watch the "Did it for love" video and she thought it looked extremely interesting but thought it wouldn't be her style of gameplay. When I told her about how the action sequences play out (QTE) and she saw some of the convenience store footage of the decision making QTE's she said it was definitely something she would want to play. She also has a thing for storylines involving serial killers.

Come on February.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

the font has to be this big then.

isn't this just like an 8-10 hour game?

10-12 hours with many different endings. LOTS of replay value.

Not just many different endings, but like in the scene with the store robber, there where so many choices of things to have been said and probably different responces and this is throughout the whole game!Iif 5 people bought and played this game at the same time, i bet only 2 people would have a similar outcome, the rest would play a game completely different, theres just that much choice

This game should be so great, release it already!

There are 15 different combinations of which of the four main characters survive till the end of the story. I'm sure if they die at certain parts, it will change things as well. That says nothing of decisions that are not life-or-death. Can't wait to play this.

This game has once again leveled up in my estimation it gains:

+5 interest (Maxed out)
+3 hype
+2 Kudos (for the script page count)
+1 Fanboyism

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

The first two thirds of Fahrenheit (or The Indigo Prophecy) were really great. I remember the first time I saw the first scene of the game, when you discover that you seem to have killed a guy in a restaurant. It was a really enjoyable experience, destroyed by an absurd ending. I hope they make a round game this time, with an ending at least as good as the rest of the game, a lot of fans of this type of gaming experience will be thankful.

No. I just know you don't have all your facts straight about the game. Seeing as I've studied it far more than the average individual , I can't necessarily blame you for an opinion. However, it isn't my opinion that it'll have multiple endings, the designer himself has marketed it that way. That's who's word I'm going to take....

However, let's please not derail this peaceful thread. Nobody has so far so let's not start that now...

Im not saying it wont have multiple endings, because of course it will. But Bioshock did too. I said I still doubt it'll have deep branching alternative outcomes. Read more careful next time.
