I understand how people who prefer PES struggle to adapt to the fifa gameplay - I too was guilty of this when I first picked up Fifa 09 but after gettin thrashed a few times by my muddies i started to enjoy it, to the point that im strongly considering a first day purchase of fifa 2010.

And one of my major problems with Fifa is that, it being an EA game, the logo is plastered all over the place which really isnt necessary. What is its purpose? To brainwash me into buying the game? But I must have bought it already to be playing it...Do they want me to buy another copy?

While I think of it, is there anyone out there who seriously likes the soundtrack of ANY football game?

PES.

I seriously prefer Fifa, i have been a fifer since 2003
. befor that i played pro evo on PSX.

I was a Fifa fan until I tried WE7 (PES3), and that came along with the first FIFA game I really hated, Fifa 2004 (probably the worst big name football game ever made). So, and after yet again horrible Fifa 2005, I became a yearly devote of PES.

After PES 2008 (disappointment) and hearing everyone say that Fifa had improved, I tried both PES 2009 and Fifa 2009, and I have to say that PES is simply much much better, Fifa still has balloon physics for the ball and all the goals are the same, PES gets that football feeling right...but I still wish they get the keepers right. But still, playing both, I have much more fun playing PES, Fifa doesn't feel like a football simulation

ill take PES, for me it plays more like real soccer and i like how each team in PES plays differently which forces you to change your strategy from game to game.

played fifa as I was younger (fifa soccer 96, fifa 2000), borrowed PES 2 from a friend when it was new and have been a PES fan since then.

I have fifa 2003 which is OK, fifa 2004 which is really bad, have/had both fifa 08 and PES 08, Since I bought them I've only played 1 fifa 08 match and like 5 seasons on PES so yeah... PES is superior

I've actually bought fifa 2001, PES 2, PES 3 and ISS this summer for 10 $ all together(nostalgia trip) and I even enjoyed fifa 01 more than 08, and damn PES 2 is still great , me and my friends play it all the time now

but the best soccer game I ever played must have been World Cup 98 for PS1, which is EA ironicially

I dont like sports games myself, but I do like Fifa 09.

Pro Evolution, in my opinion. FIFA just doesn't seem as realistic. And it tries too hard. Don't try to get me to explain that, because I won't.
