In theory the power difference should mean Wii would have much better graphics, but in practice, few developers actually push the Wii so a lot of Wii games tend to have PS2 or sub-PS2 standard graphics.

Also, a lot of developers pushed the PS2 over the past 7 yrs which is why we have games like God of War 2, SoTC and even MGS3 that are comparable and in many ways superior (in graphics) to the vast majority of Wii games.

I agree, which is why I said the best the PS2 has to offer is better than MOST games on the Wii. The best on the Wii (mostly from Nintendo) are better graphically than the best on the PS2. Metroid Prime for instance. Not to mention SMG.

^^Yup, Muramasas 2D is better than the 2D games on the HD systems, but thats just the art style which isnt dependant on horse power. Developers arent pushing the Wii...yet, I beleive with more optimisation a fully 3D, free roaming game with Darkside Chronicles like graphics can be created for the Wii.

I wish people would stop arguing about this stuff. There's a difference between a consoles processing power and art design/graphic design of games. And comparing games like Mario Galaxy to God of War 2 is like comparing Mario 64 to Final Fantasy VII.
