This is probably the biggest issue facing the wii. When you go to the store, it's impossible to find the good wii games. Nintendo talks like they'll sort htemselves out but that's not true. These big third party titles don't get full promotion like nintendo titles and so, get buried in the shelves amongst trash.

The more a console sales, the more crap games it receives. Not every developer can afford to dish out 5 mil(?) to make a decent Wii game. Just ignore the crap and buy the ones you like.

Games ranked between 0 and 1: PS1 = 0, PS2 = 0, Wii = 1

Games ranked between 1 and 2: PS1 = 8, PS2 = 5, Wii = 15

Games ranked between 2 and 3: PS1 = 33, PS2 = 40, Wii = 43

 

And this gen is far from being over!

To be fair most go bankrupt after making 3 mediocre games in a row rather than one game with a higher than usual budget.

True.  Have any of these Wii shovelware developers (not publishers) made any HD games? I'm too lazy to research.  Maybe in some alternate world things would have turned out better for Free Radical, Silicon Knights, Factor 5 if they developed a Wii game first.
