Id say get the PS3. If you get a 360 make sure you buy batteries for the controller and make sure your parents get you a subscription to xbox live or you wont be able to play with friends.

What I meant was. Do your friends have PS3 or Xbox 360? I only know 1 guy with PS3 and rest of them have 360. That one guy also has 360. If you don't have any friend with neither system then get PS3 since you have the PS3's game list longer.

Aion the only RPG I'm really interested in is Final Fantasy XIII.  I also think PS3 has the new White knight Story comin gout and I'm a huge leve l5 fan.  That said i'm also a huge star ocean fan, so it pains not to get that.  Iread some where that PS3 will get Tales of Vesperia? 

I DISAGREE about shooters thats just BS.  Resistance 2 / Killzone 2 / Uncharted do they mean nothing?  Thats just pure propaganda. 

Online - Yes I agree.  You guys should really read more :(, maybe I have been lurking too long.  360 online is fucking incredible though with party chat and voice messaging :(, c'mon Sony get your act together.

As an owner of BOTH consoles, you can live without party system/ingame VOICE chat (there is group text chat in game) and XBL other than those features isn't any different to PSN, and as for BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY, EVERY PLAYSTATION 3 plays PSone games.

You get FREE PSN memebership, a BLU-RAY PLAYER (if you have an HD TV its a must, get HDMI too), and a load of more features that I cant think of..

home imo is continuing to grow, and that is the thing I see sony "stepping away from the competition" with. Hopefully..

Anyhow yes I recommend the PS3 far more than the 360, seeing as the PS3 is $299, but the 360 is only $199 (with alot less stuff but still..) if you can get both go ahead, if you cant definately the PS3

Well alot of the guys I know at school are looking at getting Ps3s now b/c of the price drop but thats only to play killzone 2 / resistance 2.  I'm sure i'll be on lbp / ratchet / uncharted.

The only reason I asked, is because I'm a AV man myself, and I just spend a few thousand on a Home Theater system, and I know what the Verias go for, and I'd thought bullshit when I read that price you got it for, but damn. That's a lotta TV for the money there bro. Careful with burnin on your new console.
