Forums - Nintendo - And if nintendo releases Wii slim?

I don't think they will redesign the wii, there is no need to.

Like others have said new colors and a price drop.

And besides when is the last time Nintendo redesigned one of their consoles? The SNES?

I started making videos for youtube; check them out.

You should congratulate me. I destroyed the vile red falcon and saved the universe. I consider myself a hero.

Nintendo could release something like a Wii+ which would use less energy, generate less noise, and possibly be slimmer if that's possible.

Hmm lets see,it uses just 18 watts at peak performance compared to PS3/360 nearly 200 Watts peak performance so yeah it uses less watts than a 100 watt brightness flouresent lightbulb (they generally use about 20)

It's already pretty silent and only as thick as 3 dvd cases so yup Wii is by default a slim console and needs no change in size.

Only way you can make it smaller is remove the DVD drive.

Well, Wii could actually be a little smaller. Not a giant leap like PS3-PS3 Slim, just a little. Like someone else said, they could perform die shrinks. So yes they could change a few things around. ;)

I would like colour options. N64 did,Gamecube did and all Nintendo handhelds. Now bring the black over to the west.

People like the Wii as it is. Everyone hated the PS3, so Sony thought it must have been its size.

Lol, true.

Percentage-wise the PS3 slim isn't that much smaller really... the fake Wii in the picture above is more of a drop than PS3 slim is to PS3. (PS2 slim is more of what I would call a giant leap... it's timy compared to th PS2phat)

Also PSone. PS2 slim and PSone make Wii look big.

The current Wii is smaller than both PStwo and PSone (albeit slightly).... so I don't know what you are getting at there.

Perhaps if you are including the stand into the Wii size, but it isn't a necessity, just makes it look nicer.

Um the PSone is sitting next to my wii right now...PSone is much smaller stand or no stand.

Wii is long and fat when sitting next to it.
