Thats a lot of words to not answer the question, CGI. Would you care to explain your reasoning for the prediction? Seems entirely out of the realm of possibilities given the numbers posted here. What effect do you expect the PS3 slim to have on week to week PS3 sales?

You don't have to break it down much, it doesn't take long to see that it's beyond impossble.

For the record my post was about the overconfidence of Sony fans after finding out about the slim.  This thread is a key example of this, it wasn't about being insecure.  I know that was a little unclear. 

My posting isn't one sided, I try to be as fair as possible using the facts i know.  Threads like this are just pathetic, so many Sony fans get drawn in and automatically agree without even thinking.  There are plenty of good Sony fans on this site, but there's plenty of trash too. 

How is the debate not reasonable?  What is unreasable is saying the PS3 is gonna outsell the wii by 3.11-3.61 million in 1 year in Japan

i don't think you get the point, I don't care that it's the wii or that you said it won't pass the wii.  You're caught up on the fact that you think I want to hear that the wii won't be passed when in reality I don't care at all.  It doesn't matter if it's the wii, ps3, 360, or 3DO, you can't just go into a thread and make a completely impossible prediction and expect people to say nothing about it. 

I simply asked you if you were posting out of insecurity. I didn't say you were being insecure, its because you called other people insecure.

you know there's a difference between saying fanboy prediction and calling you a fanboy?  The prediction was quite fanboyish, you aren't gonna change my mind about that. 

An example of what johnsobas is talking about with using real predictions from formerly the most notable Wii Fanboy.

Johnlucas once predicted that MGS4 would never release on the PS3, and would instead be a 360 exclusive. This is clearly a fanboy prediction, and of the 360 variety. The twist here is Johnlucas had no real love for the 360 as I recall. So he was not a 360 fanboy, but it was a 360 fanboy prediction. It is the difference between attacking the poster, and attacking the argument.

Unrealistic predictions based more on gut feeling, and using no facts are fanboy predictions. You openly admit to not running the numbers, and just kind of guessing at it. Good on you for admitting your mistake, but a duck is a duck. I am not faulting you for the prediction at this point, but to call it anything other than a fanboy prediction is simply false. Simple fans will make fanboy predictions from time to time, so there is no shame in making one and then admitting to the mistake.

You're probably right, i assumed you had actually thought about the words you were posting.  It may have been that you didn't mean to say that, since you say that you didn't i believe you.  You'll notice I didn't say anything bad since you admitted you didn't properly think your post.  However you also have to understand that you did post that and you're gonna get heat for it.
