Gnizmo said: Thats a lot of words to not answer the question, CGI. Would you care to explain your reasoning for the prediction? Seems entirely out of the realm of possibilities given the numbers posted here. What effect do you expect the PS3 slim to have on week to week PS3 sales? |
I'll reply to this because it's a reasonable curiosity.
I admit my calculation is way off, in fact I didn't remain in this thread too long because I saw it as immoble. I should have proof read my post a little closer, sure I can admit that too.
After really doing some calculations, I think the gap will never close past 3.5mill, if it even closes by that much. The Wii has established itself as this gen's leader. A PS3 price cut and Slimmer PS3 will do wonders for that platform, but will not close the gap by any means, not even in Japan.
What I find perplexing though is that I have people jumping on my case after reading a selection of my ealier post, while completely ignoring the fact that I put the Wii as unreachable.

i don't think you get the point, I don't care that it's the wii or that you said it won't pass the wii. You're caught up on the fact that you think I want to hear that the wii won't be passed when in reality I don't care at all. It doesn't matter if it's the wii, ps3, 360, or 3DO, you can't just go into a thread and make a completely impossible prediction and expect people to say nothing about it.

I don't mind that you brought my impossible prediction to my attention, in fact I appreciate it. I'm not known to make those, so the fatser it's corrected, the happier I'll be.
It's the labelling and name calling I felt you could have done without. I'm a fairly reasonable person, you could have had a reasonable discussion with me on this and we wouldn't currently be in a duel of words. That's all I'm saying...

you know there's a difference between saying fanboy prediction and calling you a fanboy? The prediction was quite fanboyish, you aren't gonna change my mind about that.
