I was wondering if wii haters hate the wii because of is lack of hardcore games or simply because they dislike nintendo.

I don't hate Nintendo, I just hate Wii, only because they are taking too long to release new colours in Canada! :D

Given the amount of hate the Wii gets, I'd say that most of it comes from people who hate or dislike the console. But there will be a number of people who hate the Wii because they hate Nintendo.

Well, some will say they hate the Wii, some will say they hate Nintendo, and some will say because of both.

Too bad too, each console and company has its own merits and its own drawbacks.
Why hate anything to begin with? Theres already too much negativity in this world.
Take the pleasures that each console and company gives and enjoy.

I don't see how you can hate the Wii. It's an inanimate piece of plastic with wires inside it. It doesn't really decide what games it has or how it acts. Nintendo makes all the decisions. If you're not liking your Wii, the only person to hate is Nintendo.

Not a problem for me though. I love both.

I've owned a NES, a SNES (briefly, it broke when my drunk uncle stepped on it, bastard...), an N64 (still have it) and a Gamecube (sold it a few years ago) and I loved all of them.
And then came the Wii, it took a new direction and I don't like that direction.
Personal, honest reason.
I have nothing against Nintendo but I don't like their latest console much at all (I will get one anyway, I NEED Zelda and Mario every gen! ).

Seriously? Its neither. Its because theyre told to hate it. Every magazine/website/tv show reminds them over and over again why they are inferior/weak if they enjoy something designed for children.

Next gen. this won't be a problem bcoz people would be crazy if they assumed the Wii2 wasn't the best system to get for ALL third party games of merit. The thing you are going to see is MS securing as many exclusives as possible and Nintendo will do the same.

Preparation for next gen. will be more cut throat than this whole gen. put together.

Most of them hate Nintendo, they have been at it since the NES. Its too kiddy, has no games, ect have ben trotted out against every Ninty console. A lot of the criticism of the Wii is merited, but don't think the real hate comes from anything other than out and out fanboy lameness.
