I've owned a NES, a SNES (briefly, it broke when my drunk uncle stepped on it, bastard...), an N64 (still have it) and a Gamecube (sold it a few years ago) and I loved all of them.
And then came the Wii, it took a new direction and I don't like that direction.
Personal, honest reason.
I have nothing against Nintendo but I don't like their latest console much at all (I will get one anyway, I NEED Zelda and Mario every gen! 
).
