"And I still don't understand why you would argue for a game that you don't want at all. In fact, I don't think anybody in the thread seems to even want Tekken on the Wii so I don't see the point of arguing about it."

The the mentality for not putting it on the Wii. It's that the same mentality has kept many good games from the Wii when there is no excuse for them not being on it. The developers are just being stupid.

Now not every game works on the Wii, but this isn't one of those.

So the thread is about that after all. Mindblowing, how could I have guessed. The hardware faults in the 360 are MS' fault, the lackluster sales and loss of exclusives is Sony's fault (I'm not being hypothetical here, I mean that) but everything negatvie surrounding the Wii is only developers fault and not in any way Nintendo's?

Absolutely amazing, no matter what the thread is about or not, that is absolutely amazing. (Kind of magical like PSP only being compared to DS).

So, what are you saying?  That it's impossible for third parties to have done anything wrong?  And who said "everything" negative wasn't Nintendo's fault?

No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying they get the whole blame for the woes that befall the Wii. Nintendo does everything perfect, it seems and is just being bullied by the rest of the gaming world who "just don't get it". And when have you seen a Wii owner holding Nintendo responsible for the lack of major 3rd party games (RE, Dead Space, FF main series etc)?

I know its funny to put words in my mouth, go back and read my other, longer post.

What other post?

And how am I putting words in your mouth when you practically say it again? "Nintendo does everything perfect, it seems". I'm sure you'll find that no Wii fan defends friend codes, for example.  Also, I'm sure I've seen several Wii fans declare the loss of the FF series was really Nintendo's fault, and that, in the past, Nintendo has strong-armed 3rd parties.

I'm definitely sick of these absurd excuses. Why lie about their motives? If you don't want to support the Wii, or think it doesn't make business sense, then just say so. Tekken might not sell well on the Wii, and their marketing might indicate that, but just say so. Why make crap up out of thin air?

Hardware is only a means to enjoy great games!

"Or when Resident Evil 5 isn't "Capable" of being made."

That was the game's director, not Capcom, and he recently changed his mind anyway after seeing the way Darkside Chronicles is turning out.

But if you are trying to lump me into the "you'd complain no matter what" group, and using Capcom for justification, you really don't know me.

so PSP is more powerful then Wii ... I find that kind of hilarious

Then stop pretending that you have insight in Namco's decision making. ;)

He isn't; he's taking what they said, and comparing it to reality.  Which is considerably more possible to do.

I'll keep that in mind the next time that Capcom make a statement like "Games like Zack & Wiki don't make us profit" and similar posts. Or when Resident Evil 5 isn't "Capable" of being made. I've seen people turn on Capcom like they have completely ignored the wii despite making several great games. I've seen people write about how much they detest THQ, despite them publishing (which I don't care if they developed or not, it was their decision to publish the game) de Blob. I dealt with the "Ubisoft Boycott" despite the Wii already having Red Steel (one of the better earlier release titles) and No More Heroes. I've heard people bitch and complain about the slightest reference to the Wii in any tone that wasn't favorable, yet my reference has nothing to do with reality. There is a slight chance that the people involved in the hundreds of pages I've read of people going at it with several companies who actually DO the Wii justice do not include LordTheNightKnight and Trestres, but that doesn't change the fact that those threads go on for hundreds of posts.

AND when it comes down to it, a spokesman for the company said that statement . Does that necessarily mean that he is the final decision in the matter or reflects directly how Namco feels about the idea? People will jump on 1 persons comment as if that were the final word in any matter. Also, Look at Activision. Infinity Ward want NOTHING to do with the Wii yet Modern Warfare is being made on the Wii and there are developers who are willing to work on it. I'm sorry but at least I've read statements in these forums where people attack the companies to know that people do overexaggerate and freak out over nothing. LordofTheNightKnight doesn't know what all of what Namco says. He just read a response that Nintendo Everything had to an article that wasn't even directly translated from another language about what 1 person said about 1 game and is completely basing his opinion off of that.

For your first paragraph, I suppose that's more directed at Lord than me.  Regardless, I would argue that of Capcom and Ubisoft, two of the three example companies you gave, the games they've released for the Wii, while good, would not be considered by many to be particularily high-caliber games (specifically, Capcom's rail-shooters (yes, those are fun, but you-know-what-mean)), save de Blob.  Ubisoft's offerings have been rather meager (apart from No More Hereos, they've been absent since Red Steel).   Anyways, not many other 3rd parties do anything on the Wii, and makes statements such as these.  Also, I've also seen these "slightest references" many people have criticized Nintendo fans for overreacting on and found them to be considerably more than just not favorable.

Yes, this thread is based off of one person.  But that person is the spokesman; I would think that position would carry a little more weight in word than just any employee in the company who talks.   Additionally, it's not like this type of statement hasn't been made before, so, at this point, it would be a bit more safe to assume that, yes, the implications of of those statements do reflect what their companies think.

"Hense why I said I'm not sure if it was you specifically complaining."

You referred to me, among some others, in a post. Did you not pay attention to what you wrote?

And the reason I only quote part is that the rest of the paragraph often hinges on that part.

Tekken Dark Resrrection sold almost 2 million copies on the PSP. Tekken 6 could potentially do the same. On the Wii though I can't imagine it being nearly as successful. Maybe it would move a couple hundred thousand.

That's not the reason they stated
