Slim, unless the Phat has BC, even then I'm thinking about trading in my Phat for a Slim. The slim looks MUCH better imo.

Not a huge fan of the look of the slim model (I think Sony cut one too many corners), but it uses a lot less electricity which will add up over time. So unless one of the phat models has something you must have (BC on the select few, Linux capability), go with the slim.

Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

I've got a launch 60 gig. So I'm good. Might buy a Slim sometime down the line, but not right when they launch. Sony's already getting a ton of money from me through game purchases.
