I think this is from a series on GameDaily that will actually have 25 reasons to ditch each console. The author's weak arguments is actually a good thing. He had to come up with 25 to meet the parameters of the article. They did the Wii last week, and I guess they will do the 360 next week. It's all designed to generate controversy and web hits, and it looks like it succeeded. As long as we gamers continue to fall for these antices, we have no hope of getting quality gaming journalism.

1. Most of your friends Xbox 360.

I only have one other friend who has an Xbox 360 where as most my friends/family have a ps3.

2.Third place.

3. Not enough DLC
Batman darkham asylum joker character, little big plannet content pouring out on PSN all the time killzone map pack, call of duty map packs. Getting all the fallout 3 content on one disc later this year. I'm sorry, where's there shortage of DLC?

4. High profile games go to 360

woah woah, hold your horse's here, so because a lot of games are mulitplat, we should ditch the ps3 right yes yes it makes perfect sense now , shall i get mgs4 or final fantasy versus on the xbox then?

5. Lackluster online service

"We just Don't feel as conected" everybody stop the press Psn crap official! this has to be my favorite reason not to buy a console

6. PSP support (or lack of)

Don't buy a ps3 because of the lack of support, they connect right? share content, play games from them like resistance retribution, I'm sorry what more do you want it to do?

7. Developer's won't develop for Ps3

developers? and they only mention one? too hard to programme for? ps2 has already been stated to be harder to programe for than the ps3. Arn't these like stupid little fanboy commments from  2007?

8. you rarely get anything for free.

You have got to be kidding me? free online? free music service? free home? free internet explorer. so everyone dont get a ps3 because you dont get anything for free, get an xbox 360, you will so love it you Don't have to pay for anything :)

9. we have Iphones

yay im so smart, lets try and get people away from the competition sony, and hand them over to Apple :S

10. 360 has the better controller

"The design is way past it's prime" but we have batteries :) , when i go to my mates house and play COD4 sometimes ill take my playstation, sometimes we will use his xbox, as soon as i have either controller in my hand im in the zone, i am part of call of duty, the controller type is not an excuse anymore you know what they say, a bad worksman always blames his tools, since when was the 360 controller king of the ring at fighting games with the d-pad?

11. Little or nno graphical difference

killzone metal gear uncharted 1-2 heavy rain? but anyway if were are talking mulitplats and theres little to no difference, of course ditch sony, i dont know why not ditch microsoft  but no its sony, cause we hate sony right

12. No backwards compatibility

So why was i playing final fantasy 8 earlier? oh does he mean limited BC to only ps1? are all xbox 360 games fullly backwars compatible?

13. Ps3 slim doens't come with HDMI cable

so guys come on its an obvious reason to ditch sony, cause of course the 360 arnt taking there HDMI cable out too!!!

14 Annoying updates

right everyone on the count of 3 throw there PC out the window, P.S how slow is your interent connection if its ages?

15 Arrogance

They didnt make people get 2 jobs, i got mine quite easy, and yet again a comment from launch,its not that expensive anymore, I think they have learnt there lesson, I'd say they were arrognat but not now

16 Annoying installs, not all games have them killzone didn't and it was a massive game, and i like how xbox fans say the install are annoying, but one of the arguments of blu ray and dvd its there comeback " doesnt matter how many dvds its on ,im installing it on my hard drive"

17 NETFLIX

Is this service for everyone in the world who has an xbox? Isnt sony getting some sort of deal with someone as well

18 Not enough first party games

so guys because this autum there arnt so many first party games don't get a ps3 you'd be crazy ok, this is another important reason

19 Trophies just don't compare to achievments

we can see how this really effects gameplayer across the world, another great reason to not get a ps3

20 Unsupported peripherals

what do you use the xbox camera for agian? did you not see the trailer at gamecom of how the motion camera works, it genius

21 Sony's identity crisis

because you get more choice of console and more variety, of course this is a bad thing, the obvious answer here is get an xbox insted

22 Too much fmv chicanery

yes sony play way too much fmv because they are afraid people will see how crap there games are graphically and how rubbish the gameplay is, we all know sony has crap games but  great fmv

23 it killed the dreamcast

And? is this how desperate xbox fans are at making reasons?

24 Homes boring

home has had many more ares put in since e3 i checked the other night, and there will be a new update in september, so because this FREE service is boring.....get an xbox

25 No linux on ps3 slim

I was interested in this a while ago i even had a thread on it, but when i found out it did not much at all there was really no point, can you install linux on xbox? doesnt matter if you can or not, this is deffinitely a prime reason to ditch sony


all in all after reading these very interesting point i think no one will go and get a slim this september, and everyone will get the xbox right?

oh? the reality is: sega4life was defending a BS statement, I tried to prove to him that he is wrong because he doesn't strike me as a particular hater or an excessively rude person, if you try to engage in an argument with me I'd probably shrug and walk away by the impression you made. I hadn't been warned by any mod yet but I was just trying to be reasonable, and why should I edit my posts while I wasn't trolling in the first place?

The PS3 controller charging isn't an issue for me since for the price of 2 charging kits from microsoft i can get a PS3 controller charging station that can charge 4 PS3 controllers while my PS3 is off. I just use regular rechargeables for my 360.

nice!, but still one of the points was PS3 owners never got things for free. which isn't true.

Talk about some of you being in denial. a lot of those points were valid which is why this generation the PS3 is in third at the moment, in fact it was awfully generous of Microsoft to include RROD in the 360 design to harpoon their own sales to help Sony look better.

The article isn't saying every reason matters to each gamer but a number will to certain people. I can't wait for the 360 one, they saved the best for last, reliability, lack of value, cost of accessories, etc, etc.
