Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Japanese developers concerned about Wii's future

A Double post!? How crazy and absurd! No wonder I didn't lock this thread!

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Around the Network

Let me make sure I read this correctly: The Wii outsold it's nearest competitor 3 to 1 in Japan. It's the current market leader. Many developers didn't believe in it, so they released crap, ports, or crappy ports for the system. Now, they are upset because the Wii is still outselling the competition, and well made- well designed games (or games like Wii Play) are outselling shovel ware? Yep. Just as I thought. Makes no sense at all.

These develpers claim that, while Nintendo was able to predict demand for the console, other publishers were forced to play catch up, quickly producing titles which often didn't sell.

Ok. So you guys didn't have the foresight to see the Wii's success coming, and so at the last minute you dumped out a bunch of shovelware crap (and continue to do so) that no one wanted.

And this is Nintendo's fault.

Damn you, Nintendo!
