How do you play on a PAL TV? Unless you have a NTSC tv with an adapter?

Modern PAL TVs have no problems displaying an NTSC signal. My 2-3 previous tvs had no issue either. Anyway, if you are uncertain if your tv can do it, the short answer is that if it is an HDTV, then 100% yes. All HDTVs support 480i/p/60Hz. And most regular SDTV PAL TVs that are not too old support 480i/60Hz as well.
I got my Wii imported for two reasons:
1. Cheaper games. Buying MP3 cost me about 380 Norwegian kroner (44 euros, 62.5 US dollars) online incl shipping, in Norway I would pay 599 (69 euros, 99 US dollars).
2. Virtual console games running at original speed and resolution (60 Hz). If you download Ocarina of Time or Sonic the Hedgehog on your Wii from the PAL Shop Channel (or any other games there with a few exceptions), the games will run 17% slower (50 Hz, or 25/50 frames per second versus 30/60 frames per second) than what people with American/japanese consoles get. (For the new Wii games this is not a problem, only for the Virtual Console games).
