that really isn't I would say, a price cut to the arcade would help it gain more sales. I just hope this means that the hd they sell separately will be $99 for the 120gb pretty soon!
“When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life." - author unknown
Sony still setting the agenda then.
I Agree
poor microsoft =(.
they probably will have to drop 250$ and the arcade to 150$.
The gap between PS3 and 360 will be much closer than we all think with Microsoft's counter price cut by dropping the price of the Elite down to $299 to match the PS3 Slim price of $299. Only two SKUs the Pro is dropped and the confusion amongst customers has been reduced significantly. You either pay $199 for a basic White Arcade XBox 360 which comes with a 256MB for game saves, shovelware bundled game, white wireless controller or...... You pay $299 and get a XBox 360 Elite with two games: Fable 2 and Halo 3, 120GB HDD, HDMI cables. - black wireless controller and matching black XBox 360 console system.
If only the XBox 360 Arcade was reduced down to $149 this year, Microsoft would take sales away from both PS3 and Wii. But the attractive price of $149 may be on hold until next year.
Will we see a Wii priced at $199 this year or next year? 3 years on and no price cut and sales of the Wii have slowed down due to the unchanged $249 price tag.
The X360 and PS3 both have great game lineups for 2009 and 2010. The console sales wars rages on.
Sony should just give up no one will buy a PS3 now.
