Thoughts on WM XXX

-Having Hogan, Stone Cold, and the Rock in the same ring was really special. Marked out pretty big when Austin's music hit, then I knew they had to have the Rock.

-Just when you think HHH's ego couldn't get any bigger.. he rises to the occassion with that entrance.  It was awesome, and really fit into his character.

-Bryan vs. HHH
Smart opener. Gives the winner time for the main event. Lot of smart ring psychology playing off his shoulder and arm. Bryan got a lot of nice spots and the crowd had a great reaction to his offense. Some parts dragged with too much HHH dominance, but picked up nicely towards the end. Was kinda shocked to see Bryan beat HHH cleanly like that. Ending put over the Authority as a villain, will also make the ending to the night that much better. Damn.. Steph looked nice :)
4/5 Stars Winner: Daniel Bryan

-New Age Outlaws/Kane vs. The Shield
Um.. what. Did the bell even ring? Look down at my computer and I see everyone hitting their finisher. I don't even think this lasted 3 minutes. Guess they were short for time as they didn't even allow the NAO to get their introduction in. Nice total dominant win for the Shield I guess. Glorified squash match.
2/5 Stars Winner: The Shield

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale
That Kofi spot was impressive. Only person I didn't want to win was Sheamus... Cesaro got an awesome spot with Show and glad he won it! I hope he's the next big thing.
2.75/5 Winner: Cesaro

John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
Wasn't sure how this would turn out. I mean Bray to me never seemed like the best in ring guy. I wish he kinda used more of his weird mannerisms to wrestle (in this match he did). Was interesting to see Cena with his whole inner demons and such. That spor with that spider like move was incredidibly innovative, really threw me off as well. The singing part was intriguing as well. Loved seeing the story unwind with Bray trying to expose Cena. Ending was... predictable. Kind of thought Cena would let Bray take the win. Wyatt really improved in my mind, hope this isn't the end for the Wyatt family.
3.25/5 Winner: Cena

Lesnar vs. Undertaker
Definitely the most disappointing match for me. It really did show the age of the Undertaker. Crowd wasn't in to it as well. Lesnar isn't the kind of guy like Shawn Michaels, or CM Punk, where they will help carry a lot of the match. Match was slow, methodical, and honestly sad for me. Sad to see Undertaker look so mortal. I hope this was his last match, as it's going to be sad to keep seeing my favorite wrestler keep going at this pace. I knew how the match ended, but to actually see the streak beaten was probably the best and most shocking moment. The reactions told the whole story, Heyman himself, the Brock Lesnar guy, the one African American guy... everyone was in shock. If I saw this back in April, I would not have believed it. I hope this is his last match and that next year he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame.
3/5 WInner: Lesnar

Divas Invitational...
Was too busy crying over the Undertaker... jk xD
Cluter fuck, typical Divas match. Glad AJ won though, definitely my favorite Diva out of the bunch! Hope she makes it to 300!
2/5 Winner: AJ Lee

Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan
Match played well into the whole underdog and against all odds theme. Was cool to see the Authority come out and get theres. Spot of the night was the Batista Bomb into the RKo through the table. Was nice to see something like that! Match itself was very solid. All three played off of each other very well too. Match also had a lot of false close finishes. Seeing Bryan tap Batista and seeing the crowd pop was also very special! It's nice to see this kind of payoff for someone like Daniel Bryan.
4.25/5 Winner: Daniel Bryan

Final Thoughts:
Maybe the crowd wasn't into the Taker/Lesnar match because they knew how it was going to end. They proabbaly thought Taker would just come back and win it. Definitely the most historic WM moment I ever saw. The standouts were the first match being a solid opener, the shocker of the night being the streak ending, and the match of the night being the Danielson match. Overall very solid WM.

Good review but things go downhill soon after Mania.  I liked SummerSlam quite a bit, though.

Damn... Ultimate Warrior passed away... He was just there last week of RAW (my perspective).

It's surreal to see something like that. Never grew up watching his matches, but I know he had an impact on the industry.

R.I.P Warrior

I've been reading about CM Punk being on the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame ballot. Technically, of course, he's eligible, as he is retired from the industry. Does he really deserve it, though? I'm not sure what to think, to be honest. I mean, he was very good in the ring, he was a top draw, and he even felt like the savior of the WWE for awhile, at least to many wrestling fans. His initial "pipe bomb" was also one of the most memorable moments I've ever witnessed on any wrestling program. The catch, however, would be how long he was a factor in professional wrestling.

Personally, when you consider his ROH work, I think there is enough material. Many of the Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, Undertaker, and John Cena matches are classics.

More importantly, I think he was the first guy that wasn't a "WWE guy" to get into Vince McMahon's ear and show him that an indie wrestler can be marketable.

The NXT event is tonight. Most of the card doesn't look very good, to be honest. The four-way match between Neville, Zayn, Breeze, and Kidd might be awesome but it also might be a train wreck depending on how it's constructed. I think a three-way without Breeze would be way better. Charlotte vs. Bayley might be good, as well, though I mainly want to see Charlotte start her path to the main roster. When she debuts, it will be big. Also, I think Bayley is cute.

He's got the whole world in his hands, he's got the whole wide world in his hands.
Amazing and creepy stuff from Bray. WOW. Watch him go under to Cena again at Extreme Rules.......

The entire Cena vs Bray angle was fucked up from the start. Absolutely idiotic from WWE.

Maybe I should rewatch and review Monday Nitro from the beginning. Oh my God! What's Lex Luger doing there?!

But yeah, after WM it really does go downhill.

Did anyone see Seth Rollins nearly die in this weeks RAW?

This is why so many people shake their heads at WWE creative.  That angle acomplished nothing positive.  John Cena got absolutely nothing from beating Bray Wyatt.  On the other hand, the WWE stunted the growth of what was becoming one of their more interesting heel factions in years--and for what?  To put John Cena over?  To rehash the "Cena overcomes the call of the Dark Side" storyline?  They just did that with Kane and they're doing it again with Paul Heyman.

Really as nonsensical a move as you'll ever see.

The two title matches from NXT were really good last night.

It's amazing how much time the Divas get down there, when the WWE Divas title has two minute matches for the championship.  Charlotte has so much potential.  She is an incredible athlete.  She'll hold the main belt within a year.  I thought the match was pretty good, easily better than anything I've seen on the main show.  I like Bayley, too, as she has a very genuine feel about.  She's tough and not afraid of big bumps, as her top rope Frankensteiner proved.

The match for the NXT title was a lot of fun.  I like all four guys.  They were all over the place and it told a good story.  Kidd got put over really well and Breeze seems like a natural heel but Sami Zayn really carried the match.  The spotlight was on him, as he got isolated by the bad guys and worked over.  I really, really hope he gets a solid push in the WWE.

Also, Kenta is now Hideo Itami?  I don't understand that move.  "Kenta" would have a lot more drawing power so I guess they really are hung up on owning the name.  The CM Punk situation probably did not help that.  Still, why not just go with one name?  They'll end up dropping it, anyway, like they did with Cesaro, as no announcer is going to say "Hideo Itami with a kick to the head" twenty times a match.

Am currently in May, and can WWE creative make the Wyatt Family look any weaker? Not sure how long this lasts, but they have Bray go under to Cena at Mania, have the other two members intervene at Extreme Rules, and they can't beat The Shield without Evolution. They just don't look very competent and overall look like a joke matched up to the other factions and main even players, like Cena.
