Anyways, anyone know the name of Ambrose's finisher? Looks kinda lame...but I guess they are trying to do something new. |
head lock Driver? lol IDK
^^ DDT wasn't banned, I was saying it's one of the most dangerous moves you can do if done right. I remember reading Jake the Snake saying he damn well near crippled someone cause he did it on concrete (The opponent wanted it done on concrete against Jake's better judgement). One of the piledrivers is banned, can't remember which. Probably the one that Owen did when he broke Austin's neck.

Did you guys see "Bully" Ray doing his piledriver finisher to Mr Anderson on TNA few weeks ago? |
No :(

I would say the Vertebreaker/Kudo Driver. The person taking the bump is totally helpless.
The traditional piledriver is still one of the worst, of course. Generico's Brainbuster is nasty, especially when he does it on the edge of the ring.
One of the ugliest things I've ever seen was when Kanyon and Raven broke a Mexican wrestler's neck on Nitro with some kind of powerbomb/neckbreaker. As soon as I saw them botch it, I froze. I just knew the guy was dead. That was scary. At least Raven knew right away immobilize his neck and head.
Edit: All Piledrivers are banned in the WWE without prior permission. Only a few of the stronger guys are allowed to use them. Many other organizations have similar rules.

Only the Tombstone (which I saw in person) is allowed. I'd like to see a Double Underhook Piledriver or the Tiger Driver '98 in the WWE

Even the Tombstone requires permission. Stephanie McMahon once said that only two guys in the WWE are cleared to use it, which is clearly Kane and Undertaker.
Many places only bring out a Piledriver to storyline "put someone out", like the Bully Ray/Anderson bit Basil posted.
I'd also like to throw in Hikari Fukuoka's double foot-stomp Moonsault. I don't know how dangerous it is but damn if it doesn't look vicious.

I think Sanjay Dutt does it. The Shooting Star Press is also dangerous.

You can use Piledrivers in WWE. It's a specific one that's banned, holding a guy belly to belly to use it I think. It's also unfortunate that the Tombstone is Undertaker's only. It was nice to see others use it. Owen used to use it.

Not according to most places online.
"The piledriver was banned in WWE in 2000, unless the wrestler has special permission to use the move.[3] In a discussion in 2007, Stephanie McMahon said that only two wrestlers were allowed to use the move, "two of the stronger guys", Undertaker and Kane." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piledriver_(professional_wrestling)
