It's good he's ok, but the heart attack is a shame.

Lawler STILL puts on a better match then half the WWE locker room in my opinion.

More than that probably, but let's hope that he never gets in the ring to wrestle again.

I am just gald to hear that the King is going to be okay.

Good news after all. I hope he comes back, he's my favorite commentator. I always expected JR would happen something like this, not Lawler. I just rewatched the Bryan-Kane match and holy shit, you are pretty much there when it happens. I suspect AJ would have a big stigma if Lawler died because she sheduled the match. Yes, I know that AJ is just playing the GM part, but people are stupid like that.

It makes me wonder, though.  I watched RAW live on Monday but fell asleep pretty early.  Around 9:30pm, if memory serves.  I remember Lawler sitting out the final segment of the match while his partner did all of the work.  I wonder if King was feeling bad during the match and that prompted him to take the sideline during the tag team match.

I guess it doesn't matter, either way.  Just a thought.

It's still on my DVR, though.  I think I'll watch what is probably his last match.

I don't see why people are so set on him not being able to compete again. People have heart attacks all the time, and at all different ages. So far from the news that has been released, he has suffered very minimal damage from this event. As long as the doctors fix the problems, and he makes a full recovery, who is to say whether he wrestles again or not.

We have to live while we are here. Age and health can not be a limiting factor. To many people sit around in depression and do nothing but sit and die for the last 15 to 20 or more years of their life. If "The King" wants to live, let him live. I will never think someone is stupid for deing young have a good time, but I will always question what is accomplished by wasting the latter years of your life.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

If I had to pick a "Wrestler of the Year" right now, I think I'd go with Daniel Bryan. Just based on the totality of his work. He was a solid champion up until his bullshit loss at Wrestlemania. His catchphrase "Yes! Yes! YES!" spread like a disease until somebody decided to take it away from him. I haven't heard Stone Cold's "WHAT!?" in ages and I'm thankful for that. His relationship with A.J. Lee was interesting to watch until the WWE took that away from him. His matches with CM Punk were epic. And now, his teaming with Kane is pretty entertaining.

The WWE decides who they want to push and who they want in the background but, whatever Bryan does, he does very well. He's a star that can't be denied. They can try to force us to like Sheamus (not gonna happen) and they can keep shoving Cena down our throats. The true star of the WWE is Daniel Bryan.

Watching TNA while posting. They just gave Jerry Lawler their best wishes. Good to see that kind of respect in the industry.

I'm also positively surprised by Daniel Bryan, I didn't like him at all at first but the whole anger management angle with Kane is just hilarious. But since I am more of a casual Wrestling Fan, where are people like MVP, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin, Mark Henry and John Morrison? And why are there people like Wade Barrett, Lord Tensei, Heath Slater, Prime Time Players and a couple others who just suck?

Btw. I miss the days where wrestlers had ridiculous gimmicks like Kane, Undertaker, Mankind, Road Warriors, APA etc.
Today every gimmick is just "stereotypical Wrestler from country x" "rich guy" "poor guy" etc.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

From memory:

  • MVP got dismissed a while ago.  Just didn't have any direction for him.
  • Shelton Benjamin got cut a couple of years ago.  It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced.  I was a HUGE fan of his.
  • Mark Henry is still with the company.  I think he was injured.  He was the WWE's Olympic correspondant.
  • John Morrison wasn't happy with the company so he was released.  The storyline had the Miz beat him down and then he was never seen again.  I thought he should have been a champion at some point.

There's a bunch of people around who just suck because the WWE just doesn't know how to book them.  If they can get you to invest in the characters, the matches will suck you in.  They just aren't creative these days.

Quit for an easiser schedule in Japan, Let go for smoking fake pot,(or injured... i forget which), let go because they don't know how to handle talent that can't work the mike (hint: managers), injured, let go because he made a big deal with his girlfriend about her not being in a stupid gimic match at Wrestlemania.

Im so bumbed right now, why did Jeff Hardy have to win the bound for glory series. What good will top face vs fav do in the biggest PPV of the year ( for TNA ) do. Samoa Joe should of won or at least Bully Ray.

I think TNA's wrestler of the year would have to be the greatest man that ever lived Austin Aires followed by Bobby Roode, James Storm and Bully Ray. But of course Samoa Joe is my wrestler of the year in any year :)

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

I was surprised how easy it was for me to accept Roode when he was champion. He never seemed like a guy that could carry the company but, for me, he pulled it off nicely. Glad to see TNA isn't afraid to shake up things when it comes to their championship belt.
