Closest over that is Cena at a little over a year.

To a casual fan, Hogan would likely be seen as the longest reigning champ, back at a time where it seemed like there was more talent in the WWE then any other time.

Heck, to a casual fan I think Macho Man is probably 2.



Only guy who could challenge him is probably Rick Flair but only in the south, and he's not a WWE regular star, but WCW's.

Another guy that has always been HUGE, but not in the WWE is Sting.  He isn't quite Ric Flair, but he's close.

Yep, the guy is actually in his 50s now.  He keeps himself in great shape.

To answer your original question; Hogan is by far the biggest star in the WWE since the 80's.  Savage, Austin, and the Rock would be the next in line.

Might sound bad but I have never licked HBK. As a kid i was convinced he way gay, and the older HBK just did my head in. I found it funny in DX though. I mean the 90's DX.



Hogan is the best wrestler in history. If you ask most of the public. I would agree with them. But i dont really like putting anyone above STING. Hogan has the edge though to be honest.

I'd certainly hope you've never licked HBK!  And who cares if he was gay?  maybe I was just an enlightened child, but even back then I held no sliver of homophobia.  Doubly so since I was born in the 80's, when being flambouyant was normal for people in the spotlight.  I remember Hair Metal.
