From my experience, Forza will do well in NA, but GT is in the HALO, Mario league. That's Sony's biggest game this Gen so far. PS3 fans take offense, don't know why, when the two games are compared. What they ( ps3 fans)dont  see is Forza has higher rating than GT games, a really great franchise.

No you see it's actually very easy to tell the difference graphically of both games. Gran Turismo 5 looks superior to Forza 3 and I'm calling out anyone whom disagrees as blind. Besides that I cannot compare both games until we get furthur details but there is a difference between the games graphically.

Well, seeing how one of the developers at Gamescom today was using "them fighting words" himself in a Behind Closed Doors-session, it's no wonder that the audience also compares.

Why do people compare uncharted vs gears, killzone vs gears, alan wake vs heavy rain etc.. because one camp feels that through their fanboy goggles one game actually DOES look better than the other.

Even with noticeable games like Ghostbusters, where you can see a difference. But when you finally play the game live, its not like you're in your living room thinking while playing "Oh fuck yeah, im glad i bought this version instead of the other one, because I can clearly enjoy this version of the game better with these graphics than i would have with the other..."

Why do some enjoy vegetables while others don't. Its a matter of preference and good marketing that attracts loyalty and gives meta effects. Some enjoy micky mouse watches, while some enjoy Breitling because it has a meta effect to it.

I think this thread is just bad. Because it cant really help comfirm anything. Its not like we'll get an answer from this thread, so that from now on people will think twice about posting GT5 vs F3 threads because we've found an answer in this post about why people see things from different perspectives.

Id like to know why people stealth troll.. because that seems to be the most nerd and the biggest troll you can be. Because it takes time and effort in doing a stealth troll post. Why do people feel that they have that time and energy to do something like that over a internet forum. And later on complain about obvious trolls.

GT5 looks to have the slight edge in the graphics department, but I always thought the GT series had too many Japanese cars. With 1000 cars, I would think there would be a fair share of European and American cars too. All the fighting about graphics and car damage is typical fan boy stuff when you stop to consider they are basically the same game.

Where are people getting this hands on experience with GT5 to compare with Forza?
