Okay David Cage, it's not Dragon Lair but it's still a QTE-game.

The difference to old QTE-games is that instead of 2 choices - sucess or failure - this QTE game has 4 choices for every situation, each of which branches into different outcomes.

Nope, that is also wrong. Check out indigo prophecy. The game is fully interactive.

Hey man, watch the videos. You got 4 choices for each decision so the movie keeps moving and branching on.

It's like the dialogue choices in Mass Effect - you choose one of three lines of dialogue to start the next cut-scene/QTE.

It's not fully interactive.

if you watch the first video you can see he is moving around and looking at stuff.

its not all QTE.

No slimebeast
It's not a movie. There are QTE events within the game, just as there is with something like godofwar. You move around and make decisions on your own that are not qte. Doing certain things, like looking in a mirror, will get your character to straighten their hair, or rinse some dirt off, which will have an effect on the game later.
Then, for certain parts, like what would be a boss battle, there are these complicated QTEs which branch off into their own results. The game is not a movie, there are cinematic elements.
Dragons lair, is a movie, where you have to press a button to move to the next part. The movie plays, and if you don't press the right button, the movie is interrupted.
This is not the same. There are a some parts where you have a similar, more complex version of that, but for the most part, you are in an environment, walking around with the analog stick, and interacting with the environment.

Like I said, go to youtube and watch some indigo prophecy videos. That game was made by the same developers, and is pretty much a stripped down version of what heavy rain will be. If you don't watch the videos, then I'm not going to continue trying to help you understand. All the answers are in the indigo prophecy videos.
bye! XD

come to think of it , what Episodic game he mean't on Playstation Network?

he did say planning, but it can be cool after heavy rain =] (im actually even looking forward for the episodic game from Relentless Software, wanna see how can they do something other than Buzz games)
