Surely there won't be much effect on next weeks numbers either as the slim doesn't come out until 1st. Sept does it? So that makes next weeks numbers for week ending 22 August 09, right? So it won't be until the week after or even the week after that, no?

Well those people didnt get screwed as long as the stores they bought them from have a price match policy like most do in the states. Where they have up to 30 days after purchase if the price drops to get the difference back.

At Wal-Mart It's 14 days but most people will still be angry that they have to make a trip back to the store and deal with the hassle. Oh well.

This might be the last WW chart MS leads over PS3 for quite some time if the mid-week price cuts really draw people into buying the old PS3 models. We'll find out next week.

A trip back to the store to get $100 is worth the hassle,  its not like we are talking $10-$15.  Its $100 plus tax
