Forums - Sony - [Sony's] Koller Interview with Gamespot... interesting response

"And this is the right time to do it. We look at the consumer who is likely to purchase this holiday--one who's a little more price-sensitive. That consumer is now in line for a much more accessible price. For holiday-friendly, gift-giver consumers, that's much more in their wheelhouse. So when you look at the total amount of content, it's the best lineup we've ever had on the PlayStation 3. There's Uncharted 2 and God of War III, and you've got the third parties with things like Assassin's Creed II. When you marry that with the Blu-ray launches from our [Sony movie] studio partners, this really was the time."

The context of this response is all about end of 2009 leading up to the holidays, and he mentions GoW III. Just a slip of the toungue? Also if you're gonna include 2010 games in this sort of response then GT5 is a much bigger game to mention as being a massive addition to the game line up. Are they keeping a GT5 announcement for '09 under wraps until the opportune moment, or is there doubt about even an early 2010 GT5 release date?

Otherwise nothing particularly noteworthy.

hmm.
I still think GT5 is going to be released just before US thanksgiving.
*waits for TGS*

How awesome it would be if GT5 were released a week before Christmas.

God of War III?

Probably either a slip of the tongue or he knows nothing about his own company's console. If GoWIII was ready for 2009, they would have said as much at E3.
