The game ran smoothly, I didn't notice any important framedrops. In other words, Capcom perfected their engine since Lost Planet. I am currently satisfied about the package (music, menus, graphics, etc.). I didn't find the option to change your crosshair to move with the camera though.

I didn't play online, just single player, and the AI didn't spawn back for some reason. I don't know if I was doing something wrong...

Yeah, I played wit a buddy and AI was gone in 2 mins and didn't respawn.

I don't think this is the Lost Planet 1 engine. I believe the producer said its using RE5 engine...which may be an evolved version of lost planet 1 engine.

Visuals are great. Who would have thought that capcom would be such a visual powerhouse this gen?

Hehe, I know. Always have faith in the big three companies (Nintendo, Capcom and Konami for sure)!

Nintendo... I mean for Super Mario Galaxy.

lol...well nintendo has its limitations this gen for sure, but yeah SMG was great looking. Im not sure nintendo would be capable to deliver these visuals if they were given dev kits for PS360 today. Its jsut not where the company made progress in the last 3 years.

As far as Konami. MGS4 looked great, but used a lot of trickery. Low res, short draw distance, framerate dips. Im having a hard time remembering anything else they developed that looked stunning this gen.

Im afraid capcom is in their own league amongst the Japanese Devs this gen. I think its probably because they were able to hone their chops early with dead rising and lost planet 1.

DMC4, RE5 and this look as good or better as anything MS or sony do with their games...like Seraphic_Sixaxis said.

You really think those three games look as good/better than the likes of Gears 1/2, Uncharted & Killzone 2?

It's just my curiosity, don't take it as an attack...

Well you have to compare them with their respected games. DMC4 looked as good if not better than Ninja Gaiden 2 or hevenly sword. And RE5 looks better than Gears 2 and Uncharted 1 in my opinion.

I think resi 5 still looks better than  LP2 but I am impressed with the solid frame rate of LP2 especially in multiplayer

LP2 isn't finished...so you can't really compare it to RE5 at this point.

The mechanics on the demo were VERY sound...things that I found to be cool:

- Using the LB/RB for 90 degree turns..nice

- Grenades LT/Trigger RT - standard, but nice to see they kept it

- Button layout was also nice...

I think a Jan/Feb '10 launch would be perfect.

Why have i seen Lost Planet 2 releasing Fall 2009 in NA, and early 2010 Japan?

anyone think this feels like Monster Hunter with guns?

From a selfish perspective...Fall is REALLY crowded for my gaming sked.
