The game ran smoothly, I didn't notice any important framedrops. In other words, Capcom perfected their engine since Lost Planet. I am currently satisfied about the package (music, menus, graphics, etc.). I didn't find the option to change your crosshair to move with the camera though.

I didn't play online, just single player, and the AI didn't spawn back for some reason. I don't know if I was doing something wrong...

Press back, Click controls, Turn off bounding area, turn aiming speed to 7 = Perfection.

How much do you all reckon this will sell? Will it outsell the original?

Yeah, I played wit a buddy and AI was gone in 2 mins and didn't respawn.

I don't think this is the Lost Planet 1 engine. I believe the producer said its using RE5 engine...which may be an evolved version of lost planet 1 engine.

Visuals are great. Who would have thought that capcom would be such a visual powerhouse this gen?

Lost Planet: MT Framework

Resident Evil 5: MT Framework 1.5

Lost Planet 2: MT Framework 2.0

Lost Planet 2 is simply beautiful (In its own art style) at 1080p. I CANNOT wait to kick some Akrid and Pirate ass in the lush rainforests.

Also the A.I Pirates are just there to be Akrid Chomp. Remember you are a Pirate in Lost Planet 2 and those A.I are more then likely members of your faction. The boss fight is during the campaign.

Hehe, I know. Always have faith in the big three companies (Nintendo, Capcom and Konami for sure)!

Nintendo... I mean for Super Mario Galaxy.

lol...well nintendo has its limitations this gen for sure, but yeah SMG was great looking. Im not sure nintendo would be capable to deliver these visuals if they were given dev kits for PS360 today. Its jsut not where the company made progress in the last 3 years.

As far as Konami. MGS4 looked great, but used a lot of trickery. Low res, short draw distance, framerate dips. Im having a hard time remembering anything else they developed that looked stunning this gen.

Im afraid capcom is in their own league amongst the Japanese Devs this gen. I think its probably because they were able to hone their chops early with dead rising and lost planet 1.

DMC4, RE5 and this look as good or better as anything MS or sony do with their games...like Seraphic_Sixaxis said.

I think Ubisoft just get a mention in the multi-platform graphics department. Assassin's Creed looked amazing back when it was released and Farcry 2 was absolutely stunning. Shame the gameplay sucked.

@kiefer23

I was talking about Japanese devs there. European and American devs have the slight lead in the visual department this gen.

The demo is fun. Doesn't look better than the PS3's or 360's top tier exclusives but it's definitely a graphics showcaser.

Well from what I have experienced first hand Lost Planet 2 currently has the best graphics out of any publicly available Xbox 360 game/demo.

Alan Wake has competition.

I would go as far as saying Lost Planet 2 looks just as good as Killzone 2 if not better. The textures are high resolution (even in the background, go over to the airplane wreckage and look at the chasis) animation is nice (except turning on the spot), particle effects look amazing, models are great, lighting looks superb, good draw distances and physics (Look at all the grass in the boss arena swaying about) and I almost forgot too mention no frame drops.

Uncharted 2 will have a high chance to top it.

i played it and it´s awesome, if i have money...first day purchase

I played it and it was pretty good but don't see much difference from the first LP. I think I'm gonna grab it sometime next year after I purchase Lost Planet Colonies and beat the single player.

It's just that simple.

My one gripe with LP was that stupid thermal idea..with that gone...LP2 is going to be an AWESOME experience.

I noticed it was there to share team mate respawns. So when my team mates kept dying my thermal energy was getting closer to 0.

Though I agree thermal age made me RAGE with the first Lost Planet. Though I can deal with it on the lower difficulties.
