Forums - Sony - Cnet: Skip the PS3 Slim and Buy a Blu-ray Laptop(lol,,wut?)

Cnet's bias is apparent. Who compares a PC to a console? There is no relevance in the comparison. Especially a laptop with specs that can't come anywhere close to running games as well as a PS3.

Why would anyone get a laptop for blu-ray experience?

lol, I was wondering the same thing...

Currently Playing:  Saints Row 2 | Battlefield 2 | Company of Heroes

Recently Beaten: Gears of War | Super Mario Galaxy | Darwinia | MGS4 | Sam and Max Ep. 4, Portal | Mirror's Edge | Uncharted | Mass Effect

Looking Forward to: Alan Wake | Splinter Cell : Conviction | The Last Guardian | Batman: Arkham Asylum | SMG2 | Mass Effect 2 |

I think it's quite flattering to the PS3 actually.
they're comparing a $300 gaming machine, BR player and media device to devices that are more than 3 times the cost!

I'd be pretty chuffed if I were working in the PlayStation division

It's Cnet.
Their entire site is a joke.
Can you play PS3 game's on a laptop? Didn't think so.. What a joke.

They are recommending an 1000 dollar laptop : http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/sony-vaio-nw160j-brown/4505-3121_7-33715521.html?tag=mncol;txt

Compared to a 299 PS3.

Is the guy who wrote the article semi-retarded? Or fully?

I'll go with fully retarded!

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

What bothers me is cnet's articles are showing up as the top choice representing the PS3 slim announcement on google news. These articles may seem ridiculous, but average joe is more inclined to hear what they have to say and actually take their advice. It's an obvious smear campaign being made out by Cnet MS's partner, to dampen the excitement PS3 slim generates.

the brilliance of an article like this always reminds you who the overzealous ps3 fans are.

it is a gaming machine enjoy it. don't worry about some internet article comparing it to a laptop like it will make you sell your ps3 and buy it.

There is a big difference between being worried and finding this comparison silly, is neither allowed? I find the comparison silly and I'm a PC only guy for now and don't own a single current gen console.
