Everyone in this thread has to be almost 30 at least.

These games didn't even have 3d graphics, did they? I think they were in isometric view, and an ugly one too. Not even close to Age of Empires 1&2 'fake 3d' grafix.

What's there to be excited about? These games are extremely old and have been on the market for ages.

They've been on the market long enough to be off the market. Old games are hard to find since there is close to zero used market on PC games. Also, Steam is a lot more convenient than disks.

Only some of them, and it doesn't really matter since you never know when those games will show up in the mag, if they even show up... it could take years before that happens. Planescape Torment for example, I'm 99% sure it has never been out with a mag, and is nowhere to be bought.

Well Planescape Torment, Fallout 2 , Fallout Tactics and Icewind Dale showed up in mags years ago. Even if you missed a magazine you can still order the old ones. (Shouldn't be older than 2 years though)

Anyway they will show up again in no time.

Well, Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale NEVER appeared in a mag in my country. Almost no one will bother buying a mag that isn't available where they're from.

The Fallout games did appear in mags here. Infact the first time I ever heard of Fallout was when I bought a mag with Fallout 2 free, in 2002 or so. It was that copy of Fallout 2 that made me become the biggest fan of the series and a WRPG fanatic. Then, a few years later I bought a $30 box on retail that came with Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics and an extra disc with goodies.

I still buy magazines if they come with a great game. Last time I bought a mag it came with Beyond Good & Evil!

It would be really cool to play Fallout 1 and 2 for the first time.

Even though I have heard Fallout 3 is completely different from the previous games.

yeah but they pawn most of the actual games .....

I for one really liked the isometric view with sprites. It actually holds up a lot better than 3rd graphics of the era do.
