Well, it's possible. The ebayer guesses the problem could be in the drive since they can't get the Call of Duty 4 disc out and there seems to be many components for the drive available on ebay. One of my friends worked at some electronics service/repair place before and he repairs most of his electronics at home if they have trouble and I have some experience messing around trying to repair electronics, so I'm hoping we can think of something.

Get a new one, there may be problems with the used one.

You don't need other people's problems, just get a new PS3 buddy. I hear they're cheaper now :)

I may also look into if there is a way to get Sony to wipe the accounts clean or something. Anyone know about that? If not, I'll look it up in the morning. I'm going to get some sleep. |
You can ring Sony and have them reset the PS3 back to zero shares.
You have to explain why you want to do it though, because if they suspect you simply want to share more files with other people, as far as I know, they won't allow it. In your situation you could just explain you've bought one second-hand.
That was the situation 6 months ago as far as I know. Sony may have changed how they run things at this stage.

I was figuring they might be able to do something like that. We'll see if I can get it working. I ordered it, so now I have to decide if I should make a new thread when I get it about my attempts or if I should just continue in this thread at that time.
If you want a little bit of fun trying to fix one, why not? Especially if you know how to fix these kind of things. Then buy Uncharted
