Gotta admit almost had me fooled at first to, but reading up more info, it is a A-J-RPG in the end.

What now? It's a fighting game.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I told you guys Squeenix only makes RPGs

Looks like a pure Action game to me. Can you explain to me how it is an RPG though? Doesn't matter to me though, I'm still getting it.

The leveling system, Skills system, Online Mode, Summons System and Custom System from what i see gives it its RPG sprak, but Square USA does classifiy it as an Action RPG, so thats enough for me.

I think its switching around the skill and leveling that really makes its RPG elements.

In conlcusion its an Action Brawler with Strong RPG influence.

And yes still getting it here as-well regardless of what genre it is.

All those are common in RPG's, but none of them are required. One thing that I think that is necessary to have a Role Playing games, is a world, of any kind where you can walk around freely. Dissidia, like many other action games, doesn't have that. I would just call this a highly customizable action game. To be honest, if it wasn't for the open world, most Action Rpgs would be fighting games imo. Also Square Enix probably only wants to label it as an Action RPG because they know their fans are RPG fans, and if they labeled it as Action or Fighting they might lose some people.

Ahh i see what you mean.

Guess your right, they'd lose sales and fans otherwise, but Action games with Strong and highly custimizeable RPG elements are really great to, just look at chaos legion!

10 points for me.
