so you think they can ship nearly 12 million in 7 months?  Nevermind they haven't shipped more than 10 million in 12 months.  Do you even think about what you are posting?

Exactly.  I would be hard pressed to believe that it couldn't at the very least get back to the 7mil figure it did last year, even with the 1mil defecit it has right now.

Let me be clear about this, the OP is not doing it right. Sony says they will ship 13 million this year, not sell through. They shipped 1.1 million first quarter, that still leaves 11.9 million for August-March, they probably almost shipped nothing in August. There is only 7 months left with the slim/price cut.

I think 100 dollar cut will do alot especially in 2 weeks when the slim appears on store shelves.

also sony has ramped up production of PS3 components, that also could indicate more systems being ramped up and shipped into regions around the globe. like KOREA and China Sony has been investing in production of Blu-Ray into china. there is a large market there what's the shipped number of systems there into KOREA AND China? do anyone think Sony would not ship 1.5 -2.5 million systems combined to the regions of China and KOREA in total for the next 7 months?
