yeah, i don't think PS3 supports  all the freeware programs people release. (did someone try it ? )

Ubuntu is beast on PC.



I reckon they probably figure all of the people that are interested this already own a ps3 and they are using the new slim to get on a single platform to make things easier.



 


I was actually concerned that Sony would remove a substantial feature from the Slim. If this is the only thing they removed, then that's fine with me.

I've tested Linux on PS3. It's nothing special anyways IMO. But maybe someone else thinks it's a great loss i don't know.



 

 

For me i couldnt care less because i have the ps3 to play games and never even knew what Linux was all about.

PS3 is positioned as a game system and movie player now, not a computer for doing work.  One less point to mess the system up with.

its the most useless feature & ate up 40GB of my hard drive

now I can't even frikken delete it because I need to format the hard drive!
