i figured with Reach in the not to distant future i should give low numbers

O_o....idk...i thought only 1 out of every 6 gamers was a pretty low attach rate tbh.

ODST isn't exactly like Halo 3. It doesn't have Master Chief, for one. It doesn't have the usual run and gun combat. It's not as long, and may be considered by some to be an expansion. Nobody who doesn't own Halo 3 is really going to buy this game, and not everyone who owns Halo 3 will want it. Also, if this Slim $299 PS3 does exist (it does), that will hurt 360 sales a fair bit. And if Microsoft's only retaliation is to increase the hard drive size of the X360 Pro and rename it the Elite, then that isn't going to have much of an effect.

6 million LTD. i expect it to have awesome legs, meaning it won't have nowhere near a Halo-3-first week.

You shouldn't let your Sony fanboyism get in the way of predictions- you'll end up underpredicting all 360 games. I bet you think FF13 will sell over 1 copy first week, like Squilliam!

To be honest...I don't see the ps3 slim having any signifigant effect on Halo ODST launch sales...maybe LTD...yes, but not at launch.  If I remember correctly...during Halo 3 launch, hardware was boosted to nearly 600K for that month...I don't forsee ODST pushing anything near that amount of hardware, but with a 30% attach rate on average for the series, I don't forsee Halo ODST dropping off much.
