The fact they have 18 extra levels, $30 worth of DLC, Beta voucher for ModNation Racers and the game itself all for 59.99 is amazing.

most game coming out now are starting at $69.99. You tell me any games priced that high are a good deal and try not to laugh

Any new high quality game priced at $70 is a good deal. (Even more for European gamers)

Re-released games shouldn't be just $10 less. As I already mentioned is the DLC VERY weak IMO except for that MGS pack and those 18 levels might even come free to normal LPB owners as I've heard a rumor from one of the level creators while I read through some of the comments on the Joystiq LBP article. (However it's a rumor)

Sure but IMO the standard edition is offering more value when it goes down to $30 or whatever price tag when the GOTY edition comes out. (If they don't cut the price, well then it's of course an even bigger rip-off lol)

when cod 4 got its re-release it went up $10 in price

cod4 released at $59.99 and cod4 goty released at $69.99

The extra levels are cummunity levels so will be open to everyone who have the game anyway.


I'm going by UK prices.

Maybe Britians will be lucky again and get the game for ~£25 at launch. (Same price I got mine)

 

EDIT: lool just saw on Amazon.co.uk the recent price for LPB: £12 !!!!

I consider it a generous re-release. I like stuff that does not involve online.

The GOTY would, although, lose a lot of value if those 18 levels become available to everyone.

How can this possibly be good value?

The game alone can be purchased for £12 NEW in the UK. So we'd surely be expected to pay £40 for this GoTY edition...

£28 for......?

Boutros please explain how this is any way good value?
