I think it has to be considered in the context of it's time, and also it's influence on future shows. Just to watch it now, it's definitely deeply flawed. But back in the mid 90s it was the shit.

actually, not. if DBZ did something, it was to dumb down animes back then. gundam, ideon, astro boy, versailles no bara, zeta gundam, macross, mazinger z, and many more, all of them had way more intelligent plots that dbz and were all made in an animation that may still seem respectable today. again dbz's triumph is the same as homer simpson, a monkey desire to smash and destroy.

yeah, i saw the first 2 episodes, looked decent, im gonna wait till it finishes to watch in full though.

I used to watch this show alot, but I agree, it's not that great later on.

The latest movie they releast (Dragonball Evolution) kills it, kinda makes u not wanna watch it.

I used to love it when I was younger. I do admit the staring thing pissed me off even back then. Personally, I think the show went to shit after the android saga. My favorite WAS and STILL is the android saga period. Fearing 17 and 18 ahhhh I still love it :)

This, at the time it was great but as i got older realized how crap it was.
