Forums - PC - Your first computer

I purchased my first PC in 98. It had a Intel 266 MHz processor, 128 MB of ram which was later upgraded to 256 MB of ram, 2 GB hard drive, within months, added a second drive that was 8 GB. I can not remember what GPU I had at the time but the operating system I had was Windows 98. I loved that computer to death and I hated to replace it but its time had come and gone.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

Spectrum 2048.

I'm gonna go find mine!

Christmas 1993 (I was 4)

486 processor
I think it had 16 megs of RAM
5"1/4 and 3"1/2 drives (loved the big floppys, even though they sucked)
Dunno how much HDD, but it never got full
MS-DOS 4.0 and Windows 3.1

Later I added it a Sound Blaster 16 and a CD-Rom drive

Ah, good times. It came with Prince of Persia and The Secret of Monkey Island, I still have many fond memories of those games

EDIT: Oh, and it had a Turbo button! Always pressed, of course

I was gonna take a picture, but I can't find my Windows 3.1 286. I used to play "CD-MAN" on that thing. Amazing fun.

Here is the printer that was connected to it:

That thing was huge.

Here is my third computer:

I can't find the second that I used to play Doom on. That had Windows 95 on it.
