The problem is that it's a believable joke because people are prejudice. They're willing to believe all sorts of nasty things about Christians, just like Europeans were about Jews and Gypsies in the 1930's.

The problem is that it's a believable joke because people are prejudice. They're willing to believe all sorts of nasty things about Christians, just like Europeans were about Jews and Gypsies in the 1930's.

 

An interesting thing to do to a "tolerant" anti-christian progressive individual is to get them to take a statement they make about (Evangelical) Christians and get them to replace "(Evangelical) Christian" with "Jew"

I think evangelical Christians are socially backwards, they promote discrimination against gays and try and legally block things like abortions. I also think evangelical Christians are completely and utterly ignorant in ignoring ridiculous amounts of scientific proof and believing the earth is something less than 10,000 years old. Thats just stupid.

I get really pissed off when evangelical Christians try and force their beliefs into the science classroom which is somewhere they do not belong.

no, not really, thoose are valid criticisms of religous views, though in fairness, perhaps you should say jewish fundementalists, so people dont think you label moderate proggressive jews like that. other than that, your post seems a-ok to me.
