Check his temperature. He's a doctor, so he should know if he's feeling ill.

lol yes, it's Friday.
Ive actually never been an advocate for X360 sweeping this gen before PS3. I'm realistic, and I've still got painful memories of x-mas '07 and 1st half 2008. Ppl are so easily tricked by the present.
People really only need to close their eyes for a minute and imagine this:
- It's Christmas 2009, the PS3 Slim at $299 has huge momentum and is outselling the X360.
- The general feeling on forums like this will be that the X360 is dead and PS3 will easily beat it this gen. And there will be many of these 'predict when gap is closed' threads all over this place again.

That would be fun
I remember a thread asking "Will the PS3 hit 50 million before the 360?", and this thread had a reply saying "Lol, a better question would be will it hit 30 million before the 360?". This was when the PS3 was at around 15 million and the 360 around 20.5 million. The general atmosphere on the site was "360 is dooooooooomed!" and after nearly a year of "PS3 is dooooooooomed!", this would be kind of refreshing. Though to be fair, we have had a bit of "Wii is doooooooomed!"
Maybe (hopefully?) people have now seen how quickly momentum can shift with an intelligent strategy, and we'll see fewer doom threads this time around.

Let us be realistic, even 25+ high intelligence stat won't shift anything from the middle of maelstrom where Sony has placed itself.
| The said: you know what the slimmer PSP did in Japan? Japan will be entering a new stage of HD gaming consumism with the PS3 slim. |
this
| CGI-Quality said: So you're saying a price drop won't shift momentum? |
No. What I'm saying is that sinking ship with shot holes below loadline will sink no matter how much lamber you had time to throw overboard, and the latter is what Sony's doing.

This man speaks the truth.

Sinking ship? What sinking ship, the PS3 is still selling right. A price drop will shift momentum, I don't get the "sinking ship" analogy. A sinking ship is a console that is failing or bound to fail. The PS3 still has a lot to show, therefore I don't get the analogy. |
It is sinking! Geez... but only because it isn't a ship. It's a submarine. and sony is at the helm submerging themselves so they can shoot a torpedo at MS battleship and catch them by surprise!
