Be happy with the games SCE is producing. It's not like they aren't busy.
Some of those IPs have been (quite recentely) on PSP. Others were commercial/critical faillures or just don't need/deserve a sequel.
Ape Escape normally gets new games. Genji did. Folklore failed, sadly. Last Guy just got an add-on pack.

I think, if Sony concentrated more on doing what you're talking about, they'd have a better chance at turning around the PS3's currently-going trend of sitting comfortably in third place, and maybe even eventually earn themselves back first place (next generation, that is).

Well considering since most of Sony's first party ip so far this gen has been based on NEW ip and only 3 FPS'...

They need to make a new twisted metal those games were so much fun. A there not alot of games like that anymore.
There are many reasons why IPs don't get remade/reused.
In some cases, the rights are no longer owned (i.e., NFL games). In other cases, some have been done to the point there is nothing else to do (i.e., Arc the Lad). In some others, the games have been one-off games that have not generated additional interest (i.e., The Legend of Dragoon). And then there is the question of games published by third parties outside Japan (i.e., Arc the Lad again). Also, it is unclear what may have happened to some IPs as companies were dissolved and accumulated (i.e., Destruction Derby).

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
