Why doesn't Sony Remake/Use their owned IPs like Nintendo does?

Be happy with the games SCE is producing. It's not like they aren't busy.

Some of those IPs have been (quite recentely) on PSP. Others were commercial/critical faillures or just don't need/deserve a sequel.
