Mark my words. MH won't sell on platform like DS or Wii. It's not about graphics... it's about audience.

im willing to make a bet with you kber81 how much do you think it's going to sell?
kber81: Want to take a bet: I'll bet MH3 will sell 1 million in its first month in Japan alone.

Capcom's "loyalty" has always sucked. (coming from a Nintendo fan) RE4 and Viewtiful Joe were supposed to be exclusive to Gamecube and by making Viewtiful Joe multi, they lost the fanbase and VJ2 tanked on both PS2 AND Gamecube. Look RE4 is doing better as a remake on Wii than it did on either the PS2 or the Gamecube! but poor Capcom had already switched support with RE5 on PS3 and 360????? and Wii has been given a weak Umbrella Chronicles in it's place?
Not to mention that Resident Evil support was in Sony's fanbase anyway so why even dedicate RE to Gamecube? because of developing 4 Zeldas on the Gameboy line maybe?
Which brings us to why even put Monster Hunter on the 2nd place PSP in competition with DS when Capcom was let to make the Zelda games on GBA?! (I know because there was a need for better games on PSP and there with no takers) In short, Capcom is loyal to no console manufacturer, though they don't really have the best analysis of the industry either.
Capcom has been traditionally late the crowd. They hit the back of the wave. PS2 did well, Capcom starts supporting toward the end of its life with RE again and supports PS3, but ignores the shift to Wii, and now moves over again.
They are almost blind to market trends for a big developer, so it is a bit surprising that they are planning to release Monster Hunter 3 on Wii before other big names take the bait.

Well, you've got a point. Monster Hunter always benefitted from PS2's superior graphics over Xbox and gamecu-
Oh, wait...

I don't know what you're talking about! MH is the same audience as Pokemon. If this game gets the hype Pokemon games always get, it can easily expand it's audience! The money they save out on production costs can be used for big advertisements and so on...

I'm in. We have conditions - 1 million in first month. What is the prize?
I don't really care, change avatars or put something in signature. Maybe the loser has to put something like: I lost from... over MH3 for a month in signature.
Let me know your thoughts on the prize.
I'll put the bet in my sig.

Sounds good enough. I'm in. When this game is supposed to be released?
