A distant second place is certainly losing, especially when you've failed to make any money overall.
The only system that the 360 has managed to outsell all generation is another poorly selling system(the PS3), so that doesn't really make a good case for it.
Their search engine is far behind Google, and the Zune doesn't pose any more of a threat to the iPod than any other portable media player, second place or not.

I'm just saying this person writing the article is being an overly dramatic MS hater. If you look at all the other competitors in these markets, MS is winning compared to all of them. The articles written for those corporations would look much, much worse

No, they aren't.
As I said, doing better than other products and services that aren't really making a whole lot of noise doesn't make much of a case for MSFT doing well. If MSFT's search engine was giving Google problems and/or if the Zune were posing a significant threat to the iPod of if the 360 was keeping pace with the Wii, then you'd have case, but until then, you don't.
MSFT may make tons of money, but that's almost entirely attributed to the fact that they have an OS that's bundled with 95% of PC's on the market.
When that isn't the case, MSFT doesn't do very well in a consumer-based market because it's not a very creative or innovative company.
