Forums - Gaming - Your favorite retailers for gaming?

1. Gamestop-The best place to find older and harder to find software. Unlike eBay you get an up close look at what you're purchasing before you purchase it.

2. eBay-Great prices, but getting outbid gets old.

3. Best Buy-Just because of the occasional sale they pull of utmost awesomeness, like the $10 games sale back in April.

4. Craigslist-Make your own rules. Sell your stuff high. Trade games amongst gamers. Good stuff.

5. FYE-30 day return policy on used games. Nuff said.

I want to live in EU just because the price of games and consoles are cheap lol. But then I hate how most publishers neglect you guys and release games way later.

lol wut ?

EU is more expensive except for maybe UK at the moment.

Well, I saw some stickers on some games on youtube saying "2 games for 20 euros" and I was like wtf, that's cheap.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 > Modern Warfare 2

Hmm... well, there's a list of games. For new, current gen games, there's Amazon. For older gen games that aren't availiable new anymore, I'll buy from Gamestop's used bin, but lately, I've been moving away from them to Play N Trade. (And having games go back to the 2600 is another huge plus for me!) Finally, for imports, I buy from MadGear.

anyone but gamestop. No retailer should ever insult a customers taste unless they dont want them to shop there again

Amazon and the local comic book/video game store.

1. Rogers Video. They frequently sell their recent release rental copies 2 for $40. It's how I buy most of my ps3 games. I know someone who works there which makes it even easier to get the games I want for $20 each, usually in perfect condition with manuals.

2. Craigslist/Kijiji. Good for selling stuff I don't like. Paid in cash, no fees.

3. EB Games. They are ok for some older cheaper games and worthwhile when running good promotions or trade in deals. Anyone who buys their $55 used games needs to try harder though. They also try to sell you gutted games as new which annoys me and means I rarely buy from them unless there's a compelling reason to do so.

I have to go with Best Buy.
