Forums - Nintendo - HUGE Nintendo Press Conference! Lots of Big Announcements Inside!

Monster Hunter is called "Monster Hunter 3 tri" which would imply it is just another spin-off... is this for true? I hope not so...

Edit: From the press release:

(...)Capcom has worked tirelessly on the latest title in the series, "Monster Hunter 3 (tri-)", to utilize the unique aspects of the Nintendo Wii, which will create a "Monster Hunter" game unlike any of its predecessors. The attractiveness of the Wii experience is sure not only to please existing fans of the series, but also attract newcomers to this unique adventure. (...)

Oh no... let it be a hardcore title!

(...)As always, we at Capcom will continue to strive to develop new and original games that appeal to a broad audience around the world while expanding our properties for multiple platforms. We believe that by bringing the "Monster Hunter" series to multiple platforms, it will help the franchise reach an even greater number of users eager for its unique gameplay.(...)

So just another spin-off?  That´d be bad.

Have you played it? Is it really that bad? :(
I love Ace Attorney games...

Everyone I know who has played it and every reviewer (including the biggest Ace Attorney Fansite: Court Records) says it's really bad and fans of the Phoenix Wright trilogy should avoid the game at all costs.

Well since the PS3 version Monster Hunter 3 has been officially canceled (or at least removed from their release lists), and this just showed up, I'd say it's not a spin-off lol.  Still, it's not certain.

What about Birdman something? Is that any good for my Wii? Or should I stick to Dr. Stiles?

Didn´t know Monster Hunter 3 was cancelled.

Still it says: (...)while expanding our properties for multiple platforms.(...)

the word multiple is what is making me nervous. I really hope it is an exclusive title because if it is, this would be the final step for Nintendo to get big third party support. If Capcom takes Nintendo serious,  all others have to, I guess.

I meant that they haven't seen release yet (Trials and Tribulations comes out late October). I heard the fourth was the best yet, though; where did you hear otherwise? Check this out:

If MH3 is exclusive to the wii then Nintendo would of payed an arm and a leg for it.

Oh god that's your problem.  You used Play Magazine.  Play Magazine gave Lair a 10 and Sonic the Hedgehog (PS3 and 360) a 9.0.  That is the worst magazine in existence for reviews.  Never use it.  If you want to see lots of people complain about it just go to it's gamefaqs page... it's full of very disappointed fans.

I just happened to find that review randomly in a search; I do recall hearing positive things from other (more reliable) outlets. If what you say is true, though, I am indeed disappointed. I had been looking forward to it...

You just ruined my Christmas. Bad PW game ...

That sucks more than SSBB TBA.
