I wish.

I believe ps2 BC is being worked on, and I truly believe they hope to sell ps2 games on PSN for free $$$ much like they do with ps1 titles, but it's too soon. I don't think they'll have decent emulation running until next year at best.

Just because PS2 games have sequels on the HD machine doesn't make those PS2 games any less epic or any less marketable. I for one would like the chance to play Ico (started but never finished) and Shadow of the Colossus. And a few other games besides.

I wonder if perhaps rather than b/c emulation being part of Firmware 3.0 it could be an add-on you pay for? Would you pay (for instance) $10 to make your PS3 b/c? I would/will.

There would also be a revival in PS2 game rentals at video stores. PS2 gone before Christmas if b/c and price cut come in '09.

Well in relation to the memory card issue, my 60GB console (fair enough already had B/C) but i can and have made internal memory cards for both PS1 and PS2 games so i can save the games so i would imagine this feature would be 're-awakened' in later PS3's if this rumour is true!

I personally think this would be an awesome idea for Sony, i mean can you imagine the amount of money that would be brought in from this?? I would just HAVE to buy and download certain games if they were put on the store, for example ICO, since this is practically impossible to find or just amazingly expensive!
