Alot of people would of picked it up just because it was a budget price game. I know 4 people in person.

Customers see GT5: Prologue for £20-25 and think OH WOW and pick it up. Some probably didn't even know it was a demo.

VgChartz seems to have a thing for undertracking Playstation hardware and software by about a million, or do they honestly think a game will keep shipping with a million copies on the shelves?

What's crazy is that the game only just went greatest hits/platinum, so Sony has gotten $20-30 on every copy sold, and even more on copies sold via PSN.

Let's lowball it and say $20, then exclude a fourth of sales due to bundles. Even with those extremely conservative figures, that makes $60 million.

They have already paid for GT5's development and then some. GT5's release will be pure profit. :O

I'm just curious, was GT5P advertised much when it was first released? It's pretty amazing to have this kind of sales for a game that showcases just a portion of the actual game. Name brand can be a powerful thing. It'll be interesting when GT5 comes out.
