I wouldn't read too much into this. If someone came into the Blockbusters were I work, and told me they wanted to buy a PS3, I'd tell them to hold off until September because the Slim is coming then.

Said person may then go onto the internet, and declare that 'the PS3 Slim is real according to Blockbusters'.

All this proves is that the employees you've asked are following the rumours, which isn't surprising. Most of the people who work in videogame stores probably visit videogame websites, all of which are talking about the PS3 Slim.

You should be ashamed calling any retailer a "store". We here in the UK call them "shops". I don't believe you either. You do realise that the managers of places like Game\Gamestation actually have virtually zero knowledge of gaming related topics. The pathetic pawns who work there as sales staff seem to know more and they are normally just a bunch of geeks like you'd find on VGChartz.com.

Believe it or not, you don't need to be a spy with secret information on upcoming gaming releaaes to work at either of those "shops".
